Disproportionately large and saggy breasts cause both aesthetic and functional limitations in women and may decrease their quality of life. Therefore, plastic surgeries performed to get more upright and aesthetic breasts of suitable volume and size with the body are called breast reduction surgery. It is one of the plastic surgeries with the highest patient satisfaction. The aim of the operation is to get a healthy breast that is aesthetically beautiful, suitable for the body, and that functions such as breastfeeding and nipple sensation are preserved. After the breast reduction surgery, it was scientifically shown that there was a decrease in the patients’ neck and back pain, correction in under breast fold skin infections, improvements in stance and posture, increase in lung and exercise capacity, convenience in finding clothes and increase in the quality of life.

It is recommended to use various scar gels for the recovery and blurring of scars. It takes approximately one year for the breasts to take its final form and completion and finalization of wound healing.
